Discover Limecube's latest release

Below is a list of release notes covering what is new and improved in this release. This update covered a variety of improvements, new features, speed improvements, security updates, and some bug fixes in Limecube. 

Image element

We've improved the image element to allow for additional icons and shapes to be added to an image for decoration purposes. The extra image/shape can be adjusted freely around the main image with some adjustment options, including animated effects on scroll to bring extra life to your page. Pre-select from an existing shape, or upload your own image/icon.

Blog

• Table of Contents - The blog has a new element for Table of Contents (TOC). This creates an automatic table of contents for your blog post, can be controlled at a heading level, and remain fixed on your page or scroll with your page. This also makes it easy for your readers to click to a specific part of the article based on the heading they are interested in.
• AI Blog Generator - We have made some improvements:
  • The business description pulled in by default from when you signed up is no longer showing here, and replaced by blog description. Blogs usually have different focus to the main site, and this allows you to have a clear distinction.
  • Added a language drop down. This helps ensure the accuracy of your language, down to differentiates such as UK and US English.
  • You can now start over on your blog without needing to enter your topic, tone and audience again.
  • The topic you enter now carries over to the list of topics AI suggests, in case you want to use your topic 'as is'.

Shop

The following improvements/additions were made to the shop:

• A shop button added to the top admin menu for quick access to your shop (if you have one installed).
• Shop order history: You can now view your shop order history directly in admin, as well as have a copy sent to Google sheets. Within this feature you can also change order statuses against each product to better keep a track of orders you have shipped.
• Product Import: This feature allows you to easily import from WooCommerce on WordPress, or for other platforms load your products into our CSV template for quick import of all your products at once.
• In-Store pickup: We've added the ability for you offer your customers the ability to pickup from your store. This feature gives you the option to ask for payment at checkout as normal, or let the customer pay in-store.

Security improvements

• We've added minimum strength requirements onto passwords. This only affects new registrations and when a password is reset.
• Addition of 2FA is optional. We have added 2FA (2 factor authentication) as an option to your profile page, for when you log in. 2FA is an extra layer of security to reduce the risk of anyone being able to login with your details. 

Speed Improvements

Speed improvements were implemented to improve improve Google's speed index and overall scores.

Custom Sections

We have introduced some custom sections that allow you to insert special types of sections to the page. To start with we have added 3 custom sections, and will continue to add more. These can be found at the bottom of the pre-filled sections under 'Custom sections'.

These include:
